For over forty years camping has been hosted on Penmaenau Farm by five generations of the same family.

The site is conveniently located on the doorstep of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Showground.

Penmaenau Farm Camping Ltd is a minimum of seventy five yards away from the Royal Welsh Agriculture Showground entrance, with the added bonus of having no major roads to cross.

The site has several hundred pitches available, its amenities include permanent toilet and shower blocks which includes very accommodating facilities for the disabled. There are FREE ELECTRIC POINTS for hair drying and phone charging facilities. Free WiFi, subject to availability.

Within a large indoor venue there is free entertainment provided each night, for our campers, an 80ft. bar serving a wide choice of lagers, beers, ciders, bottles and spirits. In addition to the main bar there is a family bar area where families can sit relax and have a quiet drink and a large catering facility which provides a varied menu, there is an extensive seating area hot food is served from 6am in the morning until late.

In the young adult’s area on Penmaenau there are marquees and bars.

The site has 24 hour security and first aiders.

In the interests of health safety and security there are no cars allowed in or out of the site entrance between the hours of 11pm and 8am

Penmaenau is surrounded by unspoilt countryside ideal for walking, trekking and mountain biking, it is also within easy walking distance of Builth Wells town centre which has several pubs, restaurants and other eating places on offer and the Wyeside Arts Centre which boasts a cinema, further leisure facilities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, bowling green and children’s play area.

There is live entertainment provided each night from Saturday prior to the RWAS this is free to people camping on our site.

Below is a map of the Penmaenau camp site! if you are staying at Penmaenau please take note of Zone you are staying in, so that in an emergency you can provide direction! The entrances to Penmaenau are via numbered gates, Gate 1 is the vehicular entrance Gate 2 is the main pedestrian entrance into the RWAS if you use this entrance you do not need to cross a road!

We recommend that all pedestrians use Gate 2 to access the Penmaenau Campsite.
